Joy was also the founder of Hostowambe, an end-to-end marketplace to hire affordable party planners (because who doesn't love a good party?), and a co-founder at ImpactLabs, a non-profit organization based in Nigeria that teaches hands-on engineering skills to high school and early college students. Talk about making an impact!
When Joy isn't busy being a total boss, you can find her cooking up a storm in the kitchen, busting a move on the dance floor, or jet-setting around the world. She's the kind of person who knows how to work hard and play hard.

Alright, Afropolitans, it's time for our Social Media Buzz segment, and boy, do we have a thought-provoking video for you this week!
A recent TikTok video has been making waves, and it's sparking some serious conversations about the dynamics of masculine and feminine energy in relationships. In the video, a woman opens up about her recent divorce and shares a fascinating perspective on the real reason behind it.
She reveals that she had been operating in her masculine energy for so long that it took a toll on her marriage. Her children even began to see her more as the protector, while her husband played a more passive role. This imbalance in their relationship dynamics ultimately led to their divorce.
Now, we know that the topic of feminine energy has been a hot button issue lately, with opinions flying left and right. But this woman's story sheds light on an often-overlooked aspect of the conversation: the potential physical and emotional damage that can occur when a woman stays in her masculine energy for an extended period.
It's a fascinating perspective that has us all thinking. While embracing our feminine energy can be empowering, it's important to strike a balance and not neglect our masculine side entirely. After all, we're complex beings with a full range of energies and qualities.
But we want to hear from you, Afropolitans! What are your thoughts on this video? Do you think more women should be aware of the potential consequences of staying in their masculine energy for too long? Have you experienced something similar in your own relationships?
This is a conversation that needs to be had, and we're here for it. So, let's dive in and explore this topic together. Share your thoughts, experiences, and insights with us. We're all ears!
Remember, at Afropolitan, we're all about sparking meaningful discussions and shedding light on the issues that matter most to our community. So, don't be shy – join the conversation and let your voice be heard!
